Hungry Hungry Hunters Webinar Series: Foodborne Illness Associated with Hunted and Gathered Foods

Join the Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence for a part one of a two-part webinar series exploring foodborne illnesses linked to hunting, foraging, and other food-gathering activities. As interest in wild and locally sourced foods grows, public health professionals are increasingly encountering outbreaks and sporadic illnesses tied to these unique exposures.

This series will highlight real-world outbreak investigations, emerging trends, and lessons learned when responding to illnesses associated with wild game and gathered foods. Speakers will share case investigation strategies, common challenges, and prevention considerations to help strengthen preparedness and response to foodborne illnesses outside of traditional food systems.
